How much does it cost to build a house in Uganda?
It depends far more on design choices, finishes, roof complexity and site conditions than on size alone. After a site visit we give you an itemised bill of quantities before any work starts, so the price we agree is the price you pay. Read our guide to what a three-bedroom house really costs.
Is the consultation and quote really free?
Yes. Tell us where your plot is, what you want to build and your budget. We will arrange a site visit or send an estimate, usually within 48 hours, with no obligation.
Can you build from my own architect's drawings?
Yes. We can build from approved drawings you already have, or our architects can design the building for you. Either way, one team manages the build from foundation to handover.
How does buying a ready-made house plan work?
Choose a plan in our House Plan Shop and pay by MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money or bank transfer. The full plan set is emailed to you within 24 hours of payment confirmation. If YHDR builds the house for you, the plan price is deducted from your construction contract.
